The Late Visitor

When Bigfoot comes to your door
   Late on Halloween night,
Should you his demands ignore
   And not turn on your light?

Should you take this photo op
   When given the rare chance?
Do you think when next he’ll stop
   To give more than a glance?

Will you still have treats on hand
   To sate his appetite?
Was his visit too unplanned?
   You snacked too much tonight.

I’m not sure what I would do
   With Bigfoot on my stoop.
I hope if it becomes true,
   It’s not a family group.
